Description

Away™ essential oil blend helps to repel insects and eliminate odors.

This is the undiluted formulation (NEAT) and must be diluted using one of the following recommended applications prior to use.

If your dog is battling pests, had a skunk encounter or rolled in something vile you can mix Away™ with 4-Legger Unscented Certified Organic Dog Shampoo to scrub it away.

Dogs affected with Demodex or Sarcoptic Mites (Mange) can be helped by Away™ mists, aromatherapy, and regular baths of Away™ with 4-Legger!

Our Favorite 3 Ways To Use Away™

    1. In your dog's bath: Mix between 30 - 60 drops of Away™ in @ 2 oz of 4-Legger Unscented Certified Organic Dog Shampoo to get rid of and repel insects (lice, mites, fleas, and other insects). Away is excellent to deodorize after a skunk spray. Download our information sheet for more information on dilutions. Don't forget to get a mixing bottle if you don't have one.
    2. Aromatherapy: Add 2-4 drops of Away™ in your water diffuser. Regular diffusion of essential oils around your dog will permeate their coat and will provide not only odor eliminating benefits, but impart small servings of the therapeutic benefits of the essential oils.
    3. Misting Spray: Mix 4-20 drops of Away™ in @ 4 oz of spring water in a spray bottle to make a mist that can be used as an insect repellent or deodorant. Shake well and mist as needed. Do not spray on your dog's face. Instead of spray some on your hand and gently apply, avoiding the eye area.

Lemon Eucalyptus: An excellent insect repellent oil is from Australia. It is a calming oil and anti-inflammatory effective against fungus.

Catnip: A powerful insect repellent that has been found to be more effective than the insect repellent diethyl-meta-toluamide (DEET).

Citronella: A powerful pest repellent and odor remover.

Lemon Tea Tree: The same pest repelling and antibacterial properties of the Tea Tree plant with a lemon scent.

White Cypress: A blending oil that helps to ground, balance, and calm.

    Safe Use

Away™ is safe for dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, and other animals although cats to not like the misting application.

Some animals are sensitive to specific essential oils. The same animal may benefit from another essential oil. Essential oils are not a substitute for veterinary care. If your dog has a medical condition essential oils have been proven to assist in conjunction with good nutrition, whole food supplements, and other holistic and conventional modalities.

    Application Frequency

For all animals, how often you apply an essential oil blend will be based on your situation. Using the concentrations and application methods recommended for your species, apply the blend once, then wait and see how the animal responds, and what effects you obtained. Sometimes we see no obvious results initially, and that can be expected with diluted amounts or beginning applications.

Once you start to see that your animal is tolerating the oil application well, and you notice a time frame (maybe bugs stay away for 2 hours...) - time the next application for when the results wore off. Basically tailoring the frequency that we apply the oils - directly to how long it lasts for the individual animal. You may find you will need more frequent applications or a stronger concentration during certain times of the year, with different types of insects or bugs, or with certain odors.
