In the world of animal rescue there are millions of stories that take your emotions through the spectrum. As animal lovers, adopters, and pet parents we are all too familiar with this rollercoaster.
This isn't our story. We have no affiliation with Camp Jean other than a very recent donation. We felt compelled to write about Camp Jean and Miracle - to share this incredible story of hope and giving.
On December 30, 2016 while going through the Facebook feed, we saw a story that truly embodied the spectrum of emotions.
Camp Jean had been called to help a severely injured 7 week old beagle puppy that had EVERY rib broken - some ribs with multiple breaks. The little dog was in such pain, handling was difficult as Miracle would cry out when touched.
Camp Jean, a no-kill rescue organization managed by Jean Gibowski reached out to the Facebook community for financial assistance to help pay for Miracle's medical costs. By the start of 2017 and in less than 2 days, Miracle's estimated medical costs were fully funded! They were, in fact, over funded! Camp Jean expanded the fundraiser to raise money for other dogs in need and established a trust fund in Miracle's name.
Camp Jean's Miracle story made us realize yet again how incredible the community of dog lovers are and how much we have to be grateful for as we move our own mission forward into 2017!
4-Legger's mission to develop safe and non-toxic pet grooming products and to educate pet parents about the ingredients in traditional dog shampoo is deeply rooted from our own personal experiences after losing a dog to cancer, battling cancer first hand, and discovering the "all natural and organic" dog shampoo we had used on our dogs exposed them to potentially dangerous synthetic chemicals.
Thank you to Camp Jean for your inspiration and your willingness to help when you get the call.
Thank you to 4-Legger's customers for putting your trust in us and for reaching out to us with your stories and sharing your experiences with our products. Every itchy dog that gets relief from our organic dog shampoo truly warms our hearts.
What does bioaccumulation mean? We've learned this word the hard way, by losing our dogs to disease.
Let us give you the single tip you need for you and your dog to live a safe and non-toxic life.
If you've researched vaccinosis, it probably led you to titering.
A titer is a laboratory test that measures the amount of antibodies in the blood. It may sound complex but it isn't. We break it down for you by explaining what titering is, why you MUST do it, and review the recommended core vaccination schedule for dogs.
Vaccinosis is a set of adverse reactions or events occurring within minutes, days, months, or years after receiving a vaccination.
Vaccinosis isn't "holistic hype" or something you should ignore.
Learn what vaccinosis is now, before your dog has an adverse reaction to annual vaccines or before long term damage to your dog's immune system has occurred.
