Does your dog's shampoo contain sulfates?
"The sulfates" are typically ingredients that started out as plants - like a coconut and many chemical reactions later were a synthetic ingredient put into your dog's shampoo.
These surfactants make your dog's shampoo thicker and sudsy!
They also have links to allergies and dry, itchy skin.
Worse, they are often contaminated with 1,4-dioxane (dioxane), a known carcinogen, and ethylene oxide – also a known carcinogen, developmental toxin, immunotoxin, and allergen.
Since they are derived from coconut oil, manufacturers market them as “all natural plant based & vegan” ingredients.
Check your label for any of these sulfate ingredients:

- Sodium Laureth Sulfate
- Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate
- Ammonium Laureth Sulfate
- Sodium Coco Sulfate
- TEA-lauryl sulfate
- Lauryl Sulfate
- Ammonium or Sodium Xylenesulfonate MEA
- Laureth Sulfate
- Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate
- Sodium Alkylbenzene Sulfonate
