Peppermint

Name:

Mentha piperita

One of our favorite essential oils, peppermint is versatile.

Peppermint is well known for its abilities to soothe an upset stomach. It is also effective as an anti-inflammatory, anti-tumoral, anti-parasitic for worms, anti-fungal, pain relief, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antiviral, and astringent.

Peppermint helps to normalize the sebum secretion and cool the skin. If you have a dog with oily hair, it will help the skin and hair not to feel oily. At the same time, the natural pH balance of peppermint is beneficial for the opposite types of hair - dry and itchy as its natural moisturizing properties help in treating dry scalp and flaking so that you get silky hair with less dry itchy skin!  and problem-free scalp.

We use peppermint in our certified organic dog shampoo as well as our dental powder.
