St. John's Wort

Name: Hypericum perforatum

During the Middle Ages, St John's Wort was known as a "holy herb". It was once believed that the herb helped to protect people from curses, demons, and lightning. Today it is known for its ability to treat depression, improve mood swings, relieve anxiety, reduce the severity of pre-menstrual symptoms, ease addictive tendencies, regulate hormonal activity, prevent cancer, protect against viral infections, reduce inflammation, and soothe the nervous system.

We use St John's Wort for its anti-inflammatory capabilities, and its ability to speed the healing process of burns, bruises, and scrapes by stimulating the circulation of oxygenated blood to the cells that need repaired. St. John's Wort is also a natural anti-fungal!

About our St John's Wort:
We use organic, the highest grade, St John's Wort.  As an organic extract, it was grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation.
